Basic

Basics

New players will do well to think primarily on 4 categories of things in the Market Glory environment (mind you, the 4th item is a big one)

1. Player attributes (your energy, productivity, earnings, cash on hand, etc)
2. Resources (food, clothing, shelter, then other items like books, companies, etc)
3. Currency - local currency, Gold and Euro

4. Everything else! (will be covered on other pages)

Basically, brand new players will be concerned only with 1, 2, and 3, for possibly up to a week into the game/simulator, so this page is for beginners! 4 - everything else is for looking at long term details of the game, including the players around you, markets, companies, currency exchange rates, etc - important, definitely - but not "first step details."

When you arrive as a new player in the game you will have NOTHING.

NOTHING

Seriously. (unless you invest immediately but why would you do that if you don't already know how to play the game well? I strongly advise against investing before your first week is finished).

Player attributes:
Energy (wellness), productivity (worker value), available currency, experience, knowledge, etc.
  • You'll start out with 1.0 Energy
  • You'll start out with 0.0 money
  • You'll start out with 1.0 Productivity
  • You'll start out with 1.0 Knowledge

All you've got going for you in the beginning is having that 1.0 score of Energy

Energy

Why is it important to have energy in MarketGlory?
Because:
  • Depending on the energy level you receive fight bonuses;
  • Energy is an important factor in calculating productivity;
  • Depending on the energy level you get a percentage of your referrals earnings;
  • Attack and defense are influenced by the energy level.
The Energy decreases  by:
  • Every Fight 10%
  • Work 50%
  • Every Hour 5%

Energy increases when goods are consumed. For example, a lower quality food will bring an increase of 1 in your energy level. Also, when you eat a high-quality food you get 5 energy; the quality of the consumed goods is very important in MarketGlory. Energy increases when you eat or you have: coffee, clothes, articles, houses and wine.
How much energy do you get?
Food:
  • 1 for lower quality
  • 3 for normal quality
  • 5 for high quality
The food is consumed four times a day, at: 3.15, 9.15, 15.15 and 21.15 server time (+2 GMT). The food can be bought either from the local market (with local currency), or from the global market (with Gold). After you have bought the food, you can see how many products you have on stock from the menu Profile/Inventory.
Clothes:
  • 1 per day for low quality
  • 3 per day for normal quality
  • 5 per day for high-quality.
Note that clothes last for 10 days. The clothes can be bought either from the local market (with local currency), or from the global market (with Gold). After you have bought the clothes, you can see how many products you have on stock from the menu Profile/ Inventory.
Coffee:
  • 1 for lower quality coffee
  • 3 for normal quality coffee
  • 5 for high quality coffee
The coffee can be consumed whenever you wish. The coffee can be bought either from the local market (with local currency), or from the global market (with Gold). After you have bought the coffee, you can see how many products you have on stock from the menu Profile/ Inventory.
Milk:
  • 1 for lower quality Milk
  • 3 for normal quality Milk
  • 5 for high quality Milk
The Milk can be consumed once a day and it offers the energy points when you buy it. The Milk can be bought either from the local market (with local currency), or from the global market (with Gold).
Houses:
  • 7 house
  • 20 Villa
  • 35 Palace
The houses last for 30 days. The houses can be bought either from the local market (with local currency), or from the global market (with Gold). After you have bought the houses, you can see how many products you have on stock from the menu Profile/ Inventory.
Articles: You get 0.3 points of energy for each article you buy, up to 10 articles a day. The articles can be bought from the Home page.
Wine: It gives the points of energy shown when you buy it. The wine can be consumed once a day and it gets stronger on stock, with 0.1 points of energy every 12 hours. The wine can be bought only from the local market (with local currency). After you have bought the wine, you can see how many products you have on stock from the menu Profile/ Inventory.
For clothes ant houses, the energy is distributed each hour, for the whole day. For instance, for q1 clothes, you will receive 1/24 points of energy each hour, for q2 clothes – 3/24 points of energy, and for q3 clothes – 5/24 points of energy each hour. The same, for a house you will receive each hour 7/24 points of energy, for a villa – 20/24 points of energy and for a palace – 35/24 points of energy.
How does energy decrease?
Energy decreases by 5% per hour, by 10% when you work and 2% work when you fight.
A high energy level allows you to earn more, and to receive higher taxes from your referrals activity.
WARNING! It is very important to correlate the costs with the income. It is not a good thing for everyone to have a high energy level.
Energy can reach up to 100.

KNOWLEDGE

Why is it important to have knowledge in Market Glory?
Knowledge is an important factor in calculating productivity.
When buying books, depending on their quality you will get knowledge as follows:
  • Low quality Book  = +1 Knowledge,
  • Normal quality Book = +3 Knowledge,
  • High quality Book = +5 Knowledge.
The Knowledge decreases each day by:
  • 0.2 points if your Knowledge is between 1 and 100,
  • 0.4 points if your Knowledge is between 100 and 500,
  • 0.6 points if your Knowledge is between 500 and 1000.
The books can be bought either from the local market (with local currency), or from the global market (with Gold). After you have bought the books, you can see how many products you have on stock from the menu Profile/ Inventory.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Why is it important to have work experience in Market Glory?
Experience is an important factor in calculating productivity.
The experience level increases each time you work by 0.7 points. If you work day by day, it will grow up.
You can buy experience in amount of:
  • 0.5 euro for each experience point when you have between 1 and 100 experience points,
  • 0.4 euro for each experience point when you have between 100 and 500 experience points,
  • 0.3 euro for each experience point when you have between 500 and 1000 experience points,
The money from purchasing experience points are transferred to the Government Funds of the country you are citizen of.
The experience poins falls each day by:
  • 0.2% every Day
The level of experience can be seen in the Work menu.

PRODUCTIVITY

Why is productivity important in Market Glory?
Productivity is the citizen's ability to produce goods for the companies they work for.
Productivity is calculated using the formula: Energy + Experience + Knowledge / 3.
  • Energy can increase up to 100.
  • Experience can increase up to 1000.
  • Knowledge can grow up to 1000.
The maximum productivity is 700 and depending on it, you will receive your salary or the working bonus. In the Work section you will find the level of productivity per hour.

Productivity is actually a combined score based on:

Energy + Experience + Knowledge = Productivity

Things sound bleak at this stage - in the beginning of the game - but really - there's nowhere to go but UP! I mean this seriously. Show up, work each day and things will get better. The only way you can really do extremely badly and not advance (even if it's to advance very slowly) is to not show up on a daily basis and work.

Each day that you work, you'll increase your Productivity score, so the next day, your value as a worker will be a little more than the day before (unless you stop logging in and increasing this daily).

The amount of money you'll earn each day goes up a little as your productivity level increases. Log in daily, WORK every day - FIGHT if you're able to when you're not working (this increases your money earned, too - but watch out 'cos it can decrease your energy). More Productivity more money will u got.

When you fight and win, you'll earn what is called a "referral" (in other similar games, this token position is usually called a "slave"). Your referral's activities will give you small bonuses, according to your energy and productivity levels. You can also chose to sell your referrals for Gold currency.

*Note, you'll also get referrals from sending your link around and having people join the environment from your link. You get bonuses for their activity too, but these are a different kind of referral you may not want to sell - click around in the game and learn the difference between your referrals gained from fights and your referrals gained as real-life referrals into the environment (permanent referrals).

There is a limit of 10 fights per day. After each fight, from the time you enter and attack a potential referral, there is a ten minute cool-down timer that runs. You cannot fight an additional player at this time (hey, fair's fair, right?). More Energy means more money u can get ...

Here's the scoop:

At the start when you're a new player, things don't look very good and it seems like you're in an awful situation to begin with. I won't get all touchy-feely here or attempt to lie to you just to make you feel better... you WILL BE IN a pretty rough situation at the start... however - we ALL START OUT LIKE THIS!

In my humble opinion, the game is NOT HARD at the beginning to weed out those players who would show up thinking to make a fast buck and run/close out their account in the game. You need passion at start I'm GLAD the beginning stages are as tough as they are because I want this environment to be online for a good long while!
For Quick Start u must invest in game and i make 20 Euro only in one week i will tell you keep reading !!!

It's a LONG TERM - STRATEGY ENVIRONMENT above ALL ELSE!

The following is how most beginner weeks look in practice, per day:

  • Work.
  • Read the message boards/forum.
  • Fight.
  • Learn the rules.
  • Save money.
  • Fight some more.
  • Read what other players have said about their experiences (again - forum).
  • Fight
  • Sell a referral after a fight.
  • Interact with other players.
  • Fight again.
  • Read some more.
  • Log out.
  • Return the next day and do it all over again.

After a week, you'll have to start considering the #4 (Everything else) Category involved in Market Glory - information which is on a new page here.

Enjoy the Market Glory environment!

P.S.

The above details are about as comprehensive as I found I could get for telling new players about this game/simulator environment - without flooding a new player with an overwhelming bunch of information. What is on this page will only get you started. There are some missing bits that are really important for game play and for going beyond the first week - or are important after only 3-4 days if you've landed in a decent country in the simulator for your starting point.
